AMRITA is not tied to LaTeX and so there is no need to be put off by this example if you feel TeX has had its day. This web-page, for instance, was generated by an AMRITA program and AMRITA is happy to generate boiler-plate in any markup language you care to throw at it. The key to appreciating AMRITA is to find an overlap between it and your current programming activities: nothing more, nothing less.
